JACKSON, Tenn. — Local wheelchair athletes now have an extra boost for their game thanks to the generosity of some local businesses. Working along with the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation, Human Technology Prosthetics and Orthotics presented a $2,500 donation to the Jackson Generals’ wheelchair basketball team. The company specializes in limbs and appendages for amputees. They say it was a natural fit for them to sponsor the team. The Generals’ team competes with teams from around the southeast.
