GADSDEN, Tenn. — A Crockett County elementary school teacher is facing two counts of aggravated burglary along with two counts of theft. Kindergarten teacher Leslie Faulkner is accused of stealing her friend’s prescription drugs on two separate occasions. “The first burglary occurred last Tuesday,” Crockett County Sheriff Troy Klyce said. “After that time they reported some medicine missing. We decided to install cameras in the house in case it happened again. The second burglary occurred last night around 5:30 p.m.” Faulkner posted bail Tuesday Morning. Gadsden resident Trent Laplace was shocked about what happened. “I just think that’s crazy. I have a little girl in school, and I couldn’t imagine if her teacher ever did anything like that, and I’m sure the kids are shaken up.” Faulkner’s first court date is set for Thursday.
