Union City police seek 3 suspects in assault

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police are investigating a midnight incident after a man reported three men coming to his residence, one of them brandishing a gun. The victim told officers he answered a knock at his door early Wednesday at his East College Street residence when three white males entered his home, according to a report from the Union City Police Department. One of the men reportedly had a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded money. The victim then struggled with one of the men and began fighting in the floor, according to the report. The three men then fled from the residence on foot, the report states.
