Jackson Beer Board fines businesses accused of selling alcohol to minors

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Beer Board called in six business owners Wednesday, all accused of selling to minors and each given some form of punishment. Businesses fined $1,500 each include the BP on North Highland Avenue, the Exxon on Channing Way, the Fast Fuel on North Parkway and the Gold Line on the Highway 45 Bypass. Two businesses had their licenses suspended for 30 days — the Dollar General on North Highland Avenue and the Westover Express on Airways Boulevard. According to the Beer Board, the 30-day suspensions for the Dollar General and the Westover Express begin Thursday.
