McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities are still searching for a potentially armed man out of Ramer said to have exchanged gunfire with another man after stealing an ATV. Daniel Stanfield is suspected in a Wednesday stolen four-wheeler incident, according to the sheriff. The owner of the stolen four-wheeler saw Stanfield driving it around 6 a.m.Thursday. The two men exchanged at least six rounds of gunfire, Sheriff Guy Buck said. Investigators believe Stanfield fired first. With some area schools put on lockdown Thursday, U.S. Marshals joined Hardeman and McNairy County deputies as they searched several county roads overnight. Anyone with information that could lead to his arrest is asked to call the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office at 731-645-1004.
