JACKSON, Tenn. — A hospitality house for cancer patients in Jackson and West Tennessee gets a big boost through a partnership with a local business. Through a partnership with The Foundation and the Kirkland Cancer Center, Subway is sponsoring a home for cancer patients needing assistance during treatment. Officials gathered Thursday for a ribbon-cutting to mark the official introduction of Subway House. Subway House is a part of West Tennessee Healthcare’s current hospitality house program, which provides lodging for patients and families with travel constraints that could impact their health care. “This is something that you can truly see. It truly helps individuals,” Subway franchisee Cheri Childress “It’s not research. It’s truly helping individuals on the most basic needs.” The house for patients and their families is located on Wilshore Drive in west Jackson.
