JACKSON, Tenn. — A local woman is donating a special gift to the patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Marianne Kramer knitted a total of 150 crochet caps for patients at St. Jude. She says she saw an advertisement on TV about the hospital and decided to do what she could to help. A small ceremony was held for her at Regency Retirement Village when a St. Jude hospital representative came to pick up the caps. “A lot of the children lose their hair going through chemotherapy treatments, so this is a great donation she’s giving to the hospital,” said Stephanie Riales with St. Jude. Kramer says she’s not done either. She plans to crochet more caps for St. Jude patients soon.
