JCS Annual Consignment Sale draws bargain hunters

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Christian School is hosting their 14th annual consignment sale this weekend. Hundreds of people have been shopping since Friday night. Workers said there is plenty left for bargain hunters to sift through. “We still have plenty of stuff,” said Mary Ramey, a JCS preschool teacher and consignment sale worker. “I don’t want anybody to think if you didn’t come today that we don’t have anything for tomorrow. I’m always shocked at what comes through on half-price day.” The sale will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for half-price day and 9 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday for dollar day. The sale takes place in both gyms on JCS’s campus. The proceeds are split between the school and the seller, with 60 percent going to the seller and 40 percent going to the school. The sale has so far raised more than $90,000.
