Residents celebrate 15th annual Doodle Soup Days

BRADFORD, Tenn. — Saturday’s chilly weather made for the perfect atmosphere in one Gibson County town as they finished up their week of ‘doodle soup’. Bradford, the doodle soup capital of the world, had their parade Saturday morning and a little cold didn’t stop anyone from coming out to enjoy it. Hundreds from all over Gibson County lined Main Street as fire trucks, police cars, and floats made their way through. “It’s nice to know in small town America that this stuff still goes on,” resident Heather Brown said. “We still know what it’s about and how to take care of each other.” The one-of-a -kind festival has been around for the past 15 years and celebrates the unique soup that’s made Bradford famous.
