Carroll Co. Sheriff’s Office warns of phone scam

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — The sheriff’s office has a warning for residents in Carroll County about a potential phone scam. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page, scammers are calling residents in the county and saying they are from the Carroll County Utility Department and are calling to collect on a bill that must be paid to avoid service interruption. The post says to call the Carroll County Electric Department with any questions.
