Union City man accused of pulling box cutter during fight

UNION CITY, Tenn. — A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he cut a man with a box cutter during an altercation. Waylon Willyard is facing an aggravated assault charge, according to a report from the Union City Police Department. Willyard and another man got into an argument that turned violent when Willyard grabbed the other man by the throat, according to the report. When the other man stood up, Willyard is accused of then cutting him with a box cutter, the report states. Police say the victim had a cut on his arm and that they found a box cutter in Willyard’s pocket.
