Local plant returns to normal operations after gun scare

MIDDLETON, Tenn. — Employees at a Middleton plant had a scare Tuesday afternoon as deputies investigated a report of a gun at their workplace. The ThyssenKrupp Elevator Manufacturing building was evacuated during a search by the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department after a report of an employee bringing a gun to work. Deputies did not find any firearms, and operations were allowed to return to normal.
