JACKSON, Tenn. — Law enforcement officers in Jackson took on a challenge like none other, Thursday. In this case it wasn’t bullets they were avoiding, but dodge balls. Skyzone hosted the law enforcement appreciation event. Members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Madison County Sheriff’s Office participated. The five person teams competed in a best two out of three style elimination challenge. “I think they enjoyed the competition,” said Roxie Mays with Skyzone. “They got to display their athleticism.” Some of the officers admitted they were unfamiliar with Skyzone and didn’t realize they would be playing while on trampolines. Despite their concerns, they squared off. In the end, the sheriff’s department left with bragging rights. Though the Jackson Police Department was invited to participate, city officers did not take part.
