JACKSON, Tenn. — A church service took place in Forest Hills Park Sunday afternoon. The praise in the park is a weekly church service that takes place every Sunday in October. The service was most recently led by New Day Church located in Jackson. New Day Church Pastor, Clarence Currie said he hoped the service will bring together people from all backgrounds and nationalities to praise God. The service usually features free food, various activities and a variety of musical acts. “We just decided to come out and show the people that we can worship in diversity. We can come together, regardless of ethnicities of groups, and people to know that we thank those who came out. The purpose is to unify the city of Jackson,” Currie said. The next Praise in The Park service is scheduled to take place Sunday, Oct 25th in Muse Park.
