FAA investigates plane crash in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Investigators with the Federal Aviation Administration were in Humboldt, Monday. They are trying to determine what caused a plane to crash into a field shortly after take off, Sunday. The manager of the Humboldt Municipal Airport said a flight instructor and a student took off Sunday morning and immediately something went wrong. According to the manager, the issue was with the engine. The pilot was unable to make it back to the runway and was forced to crash land into a soybean field near the airport. Neither person on board was injured.
