African children’s choir sings at Poplar Baptist Church

WEST JACKSON, Tenn. — Poplar Baptist Church held a concert featuring the African Children’s Choir. The concert was apart of a nationwide tour with the benefits going to African Children in need. “We are raising money for an organization called music for life, and what we do is help children get educated back in Africa. And these children spend about a year on the road, traveling and getting sponsorship while they’re here, ” said event organizer, Heidi Moen. The choir played in front of a packed house. The concert featured African gospel songs with a bit of an American twist.
