Scarecrows stalk downtown McKenzie ahead of ‘Boo Bash’

McKENZIE, Tenn. — Local businesses are putting up their best scarecrows in McKenzie’s downtown square just in time for Halloween. From a pirate to Darth Vader, more than a dozen McKenzie businesses and organizations dressed up scarecrows to liven up the city’s downtown square. The scarecrows will be judged in categories including scariest and best dressed. These new residents of McKenzie hit the square ahead of the city’s Boo Bash that starts at 5 p.m. Thursday.
