Arlington Elementary holds costume parade for kindergarten students

JACKSON, Tenn. — Halloween festivities were in full swing Friday across West Tennessee, including in Jackson. A lot of students in Madison County got to have a little fun in their costumes at school Friday as well. Arlington Elementary had a costume parade for their kindergarten students. Teachers say things like this are great for young students to see school can be more treats than tricks. “School is a great place to have fun, and it’s not just a place where you come to learn. It’s somewhere where you come to grow as a person,” said Kristen Rice, a kindergarten teacher at Arlington Elementary. “And especially with kindergarten, they’re just starting out, so I want them to be able to see that it’s going to be fun as they grow with each grade.”
