Police: Humboldt shooting suspect turns self in

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Police say the person accused of shooting a man Tuesday evening in Humboldt has turned themselves in to investigators. The victim arrived at the Humboldt General Hospital in a private vehicle Tuesday evening with a gunshot wound that is not life threatening, according to the Humboldt Police Department. Police Chief Rob Ellis says the suspect is currently not being identified until there are formal charges. Officers also are trying to determine where the shooting took place but do not yet have a crime scene. Stay with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News as more details become available.
