3 face child neglect charges after search of east Jackson residence

JACKSON, Tenn. — A search Monday morning of a Jackson residence leads to child neglect and drug possession charges. Naquille McKinley, Brittany Shaw and Cordarius Woods each face a child neglect charge after police say a 1-year-old child was found in the Scallion Drive residence along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Shaw allegedly admitted to police that they put the child in the bedroom, closed the door and smoked marijuana, according to court documents. While executing a search warrant, police also found a Hi-Point .380 handgun in a backpack on the living room floor. McKinley faces an unlawful possession of a firearm charge. All three also face marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia charges.
