JMCSS to hold family health night in downtown Jackson

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County School System is having a family night Thursday in downtown Jackson. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the LIFT Wellness Center and is free to the public. School system officials say the night is designed to help better educate parents and students about living healthier lifestyles, which in turn makes students better learners. “We’re trying to instill in our children the desire to be physically active and do it as a whole family and it be fun,” said Anette Wilson, coordinated school health administrator for the school system. Parents are encouraged to bring their kids to take part in the activities.
