McKenzie HS art students paint windows of abandoned downtown building

McKENZIE, Tenn. — High school artists in McKenzie are displaying their talents on local windows thanks to the city’s restoration of a downtown building. The McKenzie High School art class has spent the last several weeks painting the windows of an abandoned building across from City Hall. City policy said any empty buildings must have their windows covered, and the city thought this was a good way to display local high school art. The artists said it is a special way to give back. The students chose what they wanted to paint and are expected to finish in the next week.
