Business honors Jackson first responders with free meals

NORTH JACKSON — Police officers, firefighters and other first responders were honored Thursday in the Hub City. Members of Advance Rehab held a reception offering free meals to all first responders. The reception included free massages and entertainment. Mayor Jerry Gist made an appearance to thank the men and women who protect, serve and save. “It’s just nice to come out and represent the department and let these people know that we do appreciate their concern for us and their care for all first responders in the community,” said Capt. Mike Landreth of the Jackson Police Department. Lt. Mike Johnson of Crime Stoppers made an appearance as well.
