Suspect named in gas station shooting

WEST JACKSON, Tenn. — Police have now arrested a man believed to be responsible for the death of a West Jackson gas station employee. Witnesses said they saw 26-year-old Urshawn Miller leaving the scene after the allegedly robbing the store and fatally shooting the clerk. Reports say Miller fled the store on foot towards the now closed classic bowling alley on Arlington Ave. Local officers in the area became aware of of Miller’s description and proceeded to search for him. The chase ended at Lions Stadium where Miller was found hiding in the woods behind the stadiums scoreboard. After not complying with police orders, a canine officer was called in to restrain Miller. However, Miller seemed to be unaffected and started to choke the dog. Miller was then restrained with a taser and arrested, charged with first degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm. Miller is being held with no bond.
