JACKSON, Tenn. — The suspect in a deadly November shooting inside a west Jackson convenience store returned to court Thursday.

A preliminary hearing for Urshawn Miller was scheduled for Thursday afternoon but instead of moving forward, Miller’s attorney told the court a mental evaluation had been scheduled for his client.
