Candidates file to run for Madison Co. Commission seats, other offices
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Looking ahead to Super Tuesday this March 10, candidates filed to run for five separate positions in Madison County on Thursday.
Up for grabs are three county commission seats — seat one from district nine and seats one and two from district 10. Along with the assessor of property and register of deeds.
In March, voters will head to the polls in a primary for the August elections.
“Both county political parties opted to hold a local primary with the presidential preference primary which will be held March the first of 2016,” Administrator of Elections Kim Buckley said.
The next filing deadline will be in April and will include potential candidates interested in seats on the Jackson-Madison County School Board.
