Madison Co. jailer reportedly back at work after being attacked by inmate
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Officials with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department say a jailer was attacked Wednesday night by an inmate inside the Madison County Jail.
They would not release the name of the inmate or jailer.
The department says the unnamed inmate was causing a loud disturbance and was warned to stop.
According to the department, the inmate attacked two jailers who went into his cell before being pepper sprayed.
Department officials say the unnamed jailer, who reportedly had cuts and bruises to the face, has returned to work.
