Local sheriffs encourage citizens to exercise gun rights
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Citing the shooting in Chattanooga, the Tennessee Firearms Association is asking sheriffs across the state to encourage their citizens with handgun permits to carry wherever they go.
Gibson County Sheriff Paul Thomas and McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck have issued letters of their own to those who live in and visit their counties, asking permit holders to arm themselves for their own protection.
You can see the letters in the Seen on 7 section of our website.
