WTHC Sportsplex gets top honor
JACKSON, Tenn.-For the second time in five years, Jackson has the best turf in the state.
The West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex has been named the municipal field of the year by the Tennessee Turfgrass Association.
The 17-field complex will receive its award at the organization’s banquet next month.
Field manager Kenny Franks said the teams deserve fields to be as nice as possible going into their tenth full season.
“We try to do our best to make everybody happy, and to make this place that everybody wants to come play ball and make it a safe place for the kids,” said Franks.
Franks said earning this honor would be impossible without the dedication of his staff year-round.
