Canadian high pressure is building into West TN today. It will
move slowly east across the area through the upcoming
weekend.

A return to dry weather can be expected along with much
cooler temperatures. Below normal temperatures will remain in
place through the end of the week. Highs will in the 40s areawide
through Friday.

Overnight lows in the 20s will be common through
early Saturday morning. A slow warm-up is anticipated over the
weekend.

A transition back to a much warmer and active weather pattern can
be expected for the upcoming Christmas holiday week. In fact…temperatures
will likely approach record warm levels as we close in on the
Christmas holiday.

Increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms can also be
expected through much of next week as disturbances move through
southwest flow aloft. It appears that we will have to wait until next
year for another chance at a white Christmas.
