Current temps across West Tennessee are in the upper 40s to low 50s. Winds are gusty and will continue to strengthen overnight. We remained rainfree this afternoon but showers will start pushing into the area later this evening and into the overnight hours.
Tonight, temps will fall into the upper 40s so it will still be chilly but not quite a cold as last night. The majority of the rain will arrive after midnight and ahead of the cold front tonight. The rain will continue into the morning hours.
Tomorrow, we see more widespread rain across all of West Tennessee. Despite the cold front arriving in the area, temps will warm into the low 60s for afternoon highs. The winds out of the south will be rushing warmer air into the region. Winds are expecting to be sustained between 10 and 15 mph.
The front will begin to stall across the area by Tuesday. Only scattered rain is possible during the day on Tuesday but Tuesday night into Wednesday we could see more area wide rain and possibly a thunderstorm.
Christmas Eve will be the driest in the 7-day forecast as we get a mini break in the rain.. but not before it returns to us on Christmas Day.
Keep the rain gear around this week!
