Shooting victim shows up in gas station parking lot

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) – A shooting victim reportedly caused a stir after showing up in a Chattanooga gas station parking lot.

Police tell local news outlets that 20-year-old Javoris Akins was shot in the shoulder and foot Sunday afternoon in northeast Chattanooga. After being shot, Akins drove more than one mile to a gas station. People who saw Akins called 911.

No suspect information was available Sunday. Police say Akins’ injuries weren’t life-threatening.

The gray Pontiac Akins was driving had bullet holes in the windshield, hood and door, and the front passenger-side window was shattered.
