3 dead in triple shooting in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Metro Nashville Police say a man shot and killed his wife and a girlfriend before turning the gun on himself.

Police Commander Terrance Graves told media that officers were called to a report of shots fired about 4 a.m. Monday at a north Nashville residence. He said officers found three people who had been shot, and all were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have identified those killed as 41-year-old Jacqueline Parker, her husband, 43-year-old Andre Parker, and 25-year-old Shanel Bowen, who police say was Andre Parker’s friend.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but police say Andre Parker is the suspected shooter.

Tammy Humphrey, Jaqueline Parker’s sister, told The Tennessean the couple were married and have six children together. Bowen was the mother of Andre Parker’s 8-month-old son.
