Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Wednesday
We’ve had a very active day with severe weather across much of the Mid-South this afternoon and evening but the threat is finally ending and we can rest easy knowing there won’t be any more storms tonight. However, we can expect a very warm day on Christmas Eve with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will warm up to the upper 60s and low 70s during the afternoon with light winds from the south.
Storms could return again on Christmas Day during the afternoon and evening. We’ll be monitoring for the possibility of strong storms at night heading into Saturday morning. A warm front moving north through the region will keep a wet and mild pattern in place through the weekend with another chance for strong to severe thunderstorms on Monday.
Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team as we continue to monitor this forecast.
Merry Christmas!
