As Vision 2020 takes shape, school leaders say to track progress online
JACKSON, Tenn. — Leaders with the Jackson-Madison County School System say they are taking the first steps toward implementing the school board’s recent Vision 2020 decisions.
Their goal is to ensure the August 2016-2017 school year will begin with the decisions taking place, according to a release from the school system.
School offcials are encouraging parents, students and staff to keep an eye on the Vision 2020 website, www.jmcss2020.com, where updates will be posted on the progress, according to the release.
The site already has general zone maps along with more detailed, school-specific zones. You can view the maps at www.jmcss2020.com/about/board-approved-plans.
The individual school websites also are set to have school-specific maps by Jan. 5.
The sites will still feature the “Question/Comment” section for users to have their questions answered in a personal email format.
The district website, www.jmcss.org, also will feature a more specific zone locator by the end of January.
