JACOA receives monetary gift to further its ongoing mission

JACKSON, Tenn.-A local organization whose goal is to help West Tennesseans overcome addiction gets a little help of its own.

A $2,000 donation was given to the Jackson Area Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency.. or JACOA, Wednesday.
The gift is from the Consolidated Medical Assembly of West Tennessee, which is made up of doctors from across the area.

“I think it says at lot. We are excited. They called us out of the blue at the end of last year and they wanted to learn a little more about JACOA and I think it speaks volumes,” said Barry Cooper, director of JACOA.

Cooper said JACOA is currently helping dozens of West Tennesseans work through addiction.
