TCA girls ready for regional action in Memphis

JACKSON, Tenn — Some teams get the pleasure of staying at home for the opening round of regional tournament action, but teams like Trinity Christian’s girls are having to hit the highway to try and extend their season further.

TCAGrislRegionalTCA is one of many teams traveling into Memphis for the opening round of regionals.

Players and coaches said they’ve worked to be ready for the adjustments that comes with playing away from home.

“Lighting’s a little bit dimmer down there so we’ve turned off a few rows of lights to try and adjust that cause that’s the biggest thing,” Head Coach for Trinity Christian’s girls basketball team, Matt Coble said. “Its just like another game and going down there and keeping routine.”

“We’ve just like adapted to the playing style that they play with in Memphis,” TCA Junior guard, Brynne Lytle explained. “It really motivated us to really work hard tonight so that we can get back to play Middleton more than likely in the next round so we can prove that we should be able to play for championships.”

The Lady Lions take on Booker T. Washington Friday night at 7:00.
