Officers train to teach public about active shooter situations

JACKSON, Tenn. — Several dozen law enforcement officers from all over the country trained Monday right here in the Hub City to become trainers for the public.

Train and TrainerThe Madison County Sheriff’s Office hosted the “Train the Trainer” session, which trains officers to teach civilians how to react during an active shooter situation.

A total of 86 officers learned about situations including active shootings at schools, churches and other locations.
