Weather Update – 10:00 p.m. Thursday

Temperatures not dropping much in West Tennessee tonight but any breaks in the cloud cover could allow a quick dip into the 30s for some areas. Forecast lows are for the upper 30s and low 40s by Friday morning with areas of fog and mist still possible at sunrise.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy but we should get some breaks of sunshine with partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions by Friday evening. Despite a dry day, temperatures will likely only warm up to the low and middle 50s again.

Saturday looks warm and sunny for most of West Tennessee with temperatures warming up into the low to middle 60s during the afternoon. Cloudier skies are forecast for the Mid-South on Sunday though conditions will remain mainly dry. An isolated shower will be possible on Sunday evening but the confidence in any significant chance for rain is low right now.

Still looking very warm period with rain possible from Tuesday through Thursday and into the weekend. This could lead to localized flooding in West Tennessee especially near the Mississippi River. We’ll be watching this carefully with a possibility for thunderstorms next week as well.
