Mother wants justice after daughter found dead in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — According to Lori Bishop’s mother, her daughter’s body was found Thursday morning in Hardin County.

Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 6.07.38 PM“My daughter was found yesterday morning throwed out on the side of a building like a piece of trash,” Betty Bishop said.

Employees at AmeriPride Manufacturing say her body was found laying near a wood pile.

“Find out who done this to her, because she didn’t deserve to die like that,” family friend Cybill Grant said.

Family members said although the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office found the body Thursday morning, they weren’t notified until later that night. The family said authorities told them they suspect foul play, and Bishop’s mother believes her daughter had been shot.

“My son said her head was turned all the way around like it had been broke,” Bishop said.

This family says they are in shock because just last week the family celebrated Lori’s return home after six months in jail.

With so many unanswered questions, the family says all they want is justice.

“I feel like justice should hurry up,” Grant said. “It can’t get here quick enough for me.”

“I want this person found so they can’t do this to somebody else,” Bishop said. “So he can’t throw somebody else’s baby out like trash.”

The family says they believe someone is being questioned in connection with Lori’s death.

WBBJ is still waiting for a call back from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office to confirm the information the family has shared with us.
