Rescue group returns baby owl to site with sibling

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) – An animal rescue group in Mississippi has returned a baby owl to a nest in an Ocean Springs cemetery.

A person visiting the cemetery had found the owl on the ground – possibly because of gusty winds – on March 1.

On Saturday, the rescued baby Great Horned Owl was placed in the nest with a sibling that had remained there. Also, the rescuers placed in the nest a third baby owl they had received in February.

The Wildlife Care and Rescue Center is the organization that returned the baby to the next. The Sun-Herald reports that the site was in Ocean Springs’ Evergreen Cemetery.
