Ingalls employee found dead in parking lot

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – An Ingalls Shipbuilding employee has been found dead in his vehicle.

Pascagoula Police Sgt. Doug Adams tells WLOX-TV it appears the victim got off work Monday, got in his truck and looks like he had a heart attack.

Adams reports family members of 56-year-old Santos Morales went to look for him when he didn’t come home after work Monday night. Morales was discovered early Tuesday morning.

There is no foul play suspected.

Jackson County Deputy Coroner Jason Moody said an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, and that’s when an official cause of death will be determined.
