City of Jackson announces road closures Thursday for ‘A Taste of Jackson’

JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson Engineering Department has authorized temporary road closures Thursday in downtown Jackson for “A Taste of Jackson and West Tennessee.”

Two lanes of New Market Street from Union Avenue to West Lafayette Street will be closed from noon to 10 p.m.

The 3oth annual “A Taste of Jackson and West Tennessee” takes place Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Jackson. Proceeds from the event benefit the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation. Tickets to the “A Taste of Jackson and West Tennessee” are $40 each at the door.
