Lady Bruins off to state
JACKSON, Tenn — The Lady Bruins continued to do what they do best, making the post season tournament.
This trip will be the teams sixth appearance in Murfreesboro in the last seven seasons.
The girls were excited and looked calm as they loaded the bus, head coach Brian Dunn credits that to the senior leadership.
“The seniors, it’s their third trip, their very excited, they all won a state title in 2012,” Dunn said. “There’s a lot of new ones, but the mindset is one game at a time, one pitch at a time.”
When asked how the girls will be able to handle adversity, Dunn said, “To live in the moment, not to look in the past, not to look ahead, it’s to live now, that’s the only pitch we can win is right now.”
The girls will take on Friendship Christian, Wednesday morning at 10.
