Simpson County woman sentenced to prison for attacking minor
NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) – A Simpson County woman has been sentenced to prison for attacking a minor.
Attorney General Jim Hood said in a statement Tuesday that 29-year-old Latrice Jackson was found guilty of abuse of a vulnerable person and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with five years suspended.
Hood says an investigation revealed that Jackson grabbed the victim, who was 17 years old at the time, by the hair and dragged her down a hallway, ripping a substantial amount of hair from the victim’s head.
