Road crews reschedule Friday repairs due to weather

JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson’s Engineering Department has announced a change in the road maintenance schedule due to weather.

The Engineering Department announced Wednesday that two lanes on Walker Road, about 400 feet north of Union University Drive to about 1,300 feet south of Oil Well Road, would be closed temporarily Friday for repairs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

That plan has since been canceled and rescheduled for another day.

Due to potential wet weather Friday, the Engineering Department has rescheduled the temporary closing for Wednesday, June 1 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The road will be temporarily closed Wednesday for crews to resurface the street.
