THP identifies man killed in early morning Henry County crash

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A West Tennessee man was killed in an early morning head-on collision just north of McKenzie.

pic-carcrash1.jpgCaleb Kenyon, 20, of Fayette County was killed when the Chevy pickup truck he was driving crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle head-on, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 2:40 a.m. along Highway 22 about half a mile north of McKenzie, according to the report.

The truck Kenyon was driving was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound Dodge truck.

Kenyon was wearing a seat belt, according to the report. He was the only person in his vehicle.

The driver and two passengers in the other truck, who were 3 and 12 years old, all are listed as injured. There is not yet word on the extent of their injuries.

The driver and the 12-year-old passenger both were wearing seat belts and the 3-year-old was properly restrained, according to the report.
