13-year-old drowns at pool in Hattiesburg
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) – A 13-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a community center pool in Hattiesburg.
WDAM-TV reports that Juwine Hughes of Laurel was pronounced dead Monday morning at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler said Hughes was found unresponsive in the water at C.E. Roy Community Center around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict ruled that drowning was the cause of death.
