Biloxi man needs time before sentencing for child porn

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) – Court records show a 42-year-old Biloxi man needs more time to review his updated pre-sentence investigative report prior to his sentencing.

As a result, The Sun Herald reports Judge Louis Guirola Jr. set a new sentencing date of June 9 for Ruben Ralph-James Masters.

Masters admitted to downloading more than 400 videos and pictures of children engaged in sex acts and using a body camera to film a naked girl.

Attorney Rufus Alldredge said in a motion to delay the sentencing that he had objections to the initial pre-sentence report prepared for Masters.

Masters pleaded guilty in September to federal charges of possession and production of child pornography.

He was arrested in May 2015 after a cybercrime investigator discovered he was using an Internet file-sharing program to access sexually-explicit images of children.
