Committee moves forward with school system budgets
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The budget committee for the Jackson-Madison County School System met Wednesday and approved the system’s budget figures.
The committee approved a $101 million operating budget and a $2.8 million capital budget.
“What we’re trying to pursue more than anything else, especially with each department, is to have the best communication that we can have to help us move forward,” chairman Doug Stephenson said.
The full board must approve the budgets within the coming weeks as well as determine what they will do if they get the funds.
